Loyalty

I had always been a closed shell. I hadn’t made many friends near the neighbourhood since I wasn’t allowed to go out. Years flew like flying saucers. Then it was this particular day I saw a beautiful dog a labrador and fell in love with him. I caressed him, loved him to the core of his existence.He had chocolate brown eyes which screamed innocence and shiny off white fur. He was possessive of me and I him. I always crept out of bed during midnights to talk to him. He was my lifeline. One day I returned home from school and then searched for him everywhere and I dint find him. The neighbours said he had passed away. They hid they fact that he had cancer. I couldn’t believe my ears. I snapped. I cried and I was lost. I wasn’t there for him when he needed me the most but he was always there.
